The Crooked Well is a brand spanking new bar and restaurant serving “urban-rustic” food right in the heart of busy bustling Camberwell.
We have transformed what was a soulless and dated venue – formerly a French restaurant – into a warm, inviting, yet refreshingly simply interior. By reinstating all the period detailing which was previously stripped out, and filling the space with warm materials, eclectic furniture and super comfy oversized Chesterfields we have succeeded in creating a beautiful space without the pretension so often associated with fine food eateries. Our brief was to create an interior that would project the ethos of a humble but stylish neighbourhood restaurant, which is exactly what, we have achieved.
“With its urban-rustic food and cool interior, the Crooked Well is Boho London at its knowing best.” – The Guardian
“Those with an eye for detail will hone in on the restored cornicing and ceiling roses, the gorgeous Victorian tiling behind the bar and antique lighting, but otherwise it simply looks effortlessly stylish.” – Living South
