Celebration Avenue, East Village, Stratford, E20
A stones throw from the East Village formerly Olympic Park, Grapes Design were commissioned to conceptualise a new bar offering Neighborhood. Inspired by the changing nature of the area Neighborhood juxtaposes the delicate and the gritty. Brightly coloured lounge furniture contrasts with reclaimed lights and salvaged screens in order to create a space for the local community.
Neighbourhood bar, beer shop and all-day eatery in Stratford City’s East Village area, close to Stratford International train station and Westfield Shopping City. It incorporates a large urban bar area, now serving a range of bottled and draught artisan beers, as well as international wine selection and cocktails.
The approach was to reflect the sites ethos and history with the food prepared in a designed opened kitchen and rotisserie, serving a selection of dishes from around the world.Grapes Design transformed the space with an industrial feel through the works of branding, artwork and detail that is iconic to the brand. The design helps to attract visitors from morning to evening with a hearty welcome and an active buzz of activity for after work drinks, relaxed dining and socialising.
“Neighbourhood represents a really exciting chapter in our history,” explains Faucet Inn’s founder and managing director Steve Cox. “The site presents a huge opportunity with the growing local residential developments and close proximity to Westfields.”
“What we have achieved with Neighbourhood is an urban cool bar, influenced by the surrounding area that provides a hub for the locals – a place where food, drink and community matters. Our service style will be relaxed to suit the atmosphere and our staff approachable but assertive and informed“.
