The inspiration for one of Clapham’s favourite bars came from the name ‘Babel’ – the confusion of languages. With its contemporary furniture, original Victorian bar and 1950’s lampshades Babel has an eclectic mix of styles. By day it is an ideal meeting place for a relaxed drink or a bite to eat and by night it transforms into a vibrant, late-opening bar. During the summer months you can drink or dine on the pavement, continental style whilst enjoying the buzz of the Northcote Road.
Grapes design have taken Babel’s eclectic, quirky interior to the next level with a number of playful and thoughtful features such as the stripy ‘deckchair’ mirrored wall, a vibrant array of new soft seating throughout, creative lighting and best of all the Sky Planters nestled in amongst the sea of ceiling pendants. Babel stands out from its competitors and consistently draws in the crowds thanks to its eye-catching design and individual charm.
